Hi peeps! As per the title, I'm looking at buying a completely new build and I need a case to start off with. I was looking at the Silverstone Raven RV02, but then found the front panel only has USB 2.0 ports. As I'm looking at spending £1400 on this new PC, I thought I should future-proof a little and get a case with USB 3.0 ports. None of the cases on the BT Buyers guide have USB 3.0 front panels, so that's the Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Fractal Design Define R3 SilverStone FT02B Silverstone Raven RV02 all ruled out so far. The SilverStone Temjin TJ11 has USB3 but I'll be buggered if I'm paying upwards of £450 for it! So, has anyone got any other recommendations? Should I even bother with a USB 3 front panel at all and get the case I wanted initially anyway?
Do you realize that you can just buy a 5,25" or 3,5" drive bay with USB3 connectors ? Lots of Lian Li cases have USB3 or have a replacement header set for USB3 upgrade, so you could look at Lian Li cases as well.

The only thing to watch out for is how are they connected to the boards. Some use cables with USB3 connectors, while others use the now standardized USB3 motherboard header. In case you would have the header on board, but the drive bay device has USB3 connectors, then you can use this : http://lian-li.com.tw/v2/en/product/product04.php?cl_index=2&sc_index=47&ss_index=141
It does, yeah, but the rv03 case itself is minging. (and not as good the the rv02 with fan placements and less hard drive bays)
If it were me i would choose my favourite case, then just add the USB 3 afterwards. I have the RV02... Awesome case
I bought the Corsair 650D, it has USB 3 on the front panel. I love it, but as others have said, get the case you like and add USB3 after.
Coolermaster's Storm Enforcer has front USB 3 (it connects to the motherboard USB 3 header which is nice). It is basically the HAF 912 Plus inside with a side window and a different front. But as others have said get the case you want and add the USB 3 yourself. http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/product.php?product_id=6715
It has MORE hard drive bays. What do you mean with fan placements? It has two 180 mm fans instead of 3, but the third on RV02 wasn't really doing much, anyway. Anyway just buy the Corsair 650D. £130 isn't too bad and it's all the case you'll ever need (par internal water cooling madness).
