No more than two optical drive bays, I never have any more than a DVD/CD drive in. Edit: I might have to accept more drive bays as two seems a little restrictive. Must have really good cable management, my SilverStone FT02R-W is really rubbish at this. Do like a window, love the pretty lights. Will be sticking (probably) this board in. http://www.ebuyer.com/260646-asus-s...1155-8-channel-hd-audio-atx-sabertooth-p67-r3 Will go to about £150 but preferably less. So far I have this as an option. http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1566.html Looking for other suggestions.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...rmaster+310&rh=i:aps,k:coolermaster+310&ajr=0 only thing i can think of, its got 4 bays and semi decent cable management, also can be ordered with a window also id probably try and make the most of the z68 chip, its got some extra features you may like, the P8Z68-V from ASUS would be good
I cannot thank you for your suggestion for two reasons. The first reason it has four drive bays, I only want two and the second reason is it has to be the most ugly case I have ever set my eyes on.LOL Where did the Z68 come from?
its the only one i can really think of here are a few brands you could check out akasa coolermaster nzxt InWin Corsair Fractal Design (im pretty sure my friends one has two or three) Antec
http://www.fractal-design.com/?view=product&prod=60 here is my friends case.. and when you said you were getting a P67 motherboard... The P67s are being phased out now, so you are best getting a Z68 board
I would say the Arc Midi from Fractal. One of my housemates has the Core 3000 and another has the R3, and I really cannot recommend the Core compared to the R3, since the construction isn't nearly as nice. The Arc appears to have the same build quality as the R3, but with nicer cable management grommets.
Thanks again, but I am really looking for personal experiences with cases, not just a list of makers. I to have a Fractal the 1000, which is my HTPC.Nice case.
Ignore what I have put in my post apart from cable management. I think I am going with the Corsair Obsidian 550D if I can find one.
Corsair carbide 500r is a really good choice, only it dont have side windows it have big fan instead. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-carbide-series-500r-black-mid-tower-gaming-case-w-o-psu
For that budget I would be looking at something from lian li like this http://www.scan.co.uk/products/lian-li-pc-a05fnb-aluminium-tool-less-midi-case-black-usb30-w-o-psu or http://www.scan.co.uk/products/lian-li-pc-b25fb-black-mid-tower-aluminum-case-w-o-psu . There is a reason why once you have had one lian li you don't tend to buy any other manufacture after. You would be mad to get a corsair case over a lian li.
Hadn't seen the first and very much like it's simplicity. The other I have looked at and am considering.
It is the best case for the money in my opinion, as long as you are ok with the unusual layout. That case has a very rich modding history, people have managed to fit a 360 rad in the roof.
As I am on my iPad at the moment so I'll need to wait till tomorrow to find out what you mean by unusual layout.
