Hi everyone, I posted this question in my project log (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=87978), but haven't received much response, so I'm asking it here. I'm building a custom radiator for my watercooling system and want to add a pressure gauge along the lines of this: It meassures pressure in terms of inches of water -- perfect for my radiator which will have 30-inch vertical tubes. However, I'm really going for the art-deco look and would love to find an antique, or antique-looking gauge. Any thoughts on where I might be able to find one? I am in the USA, so an US supplier would be preferred. Thanks for any input.
eBay? Or maybe a salvage yard would have some old machinery you could pull it off. Just trying to think of where these might usually be used... Large plumbers merchants might carry them, or they might be used in things that use steam... edit: here's something interesting, I'm sure you could find more if you put more effort in than me
Say, that is interesting. I'm really looking for the round gauge style however. Also, 1 mm of hg = 0.53 inches of whater, so my 30-inch column of water would just barely be registering on that thing. I'm definitely keeping an eye on ebay, as I've seen some really cool gauges. Sadly, theire pressure ranges have all been to large for my needs. Cheers.
Same issues with phuzz'z suggestion. I need a low-pressure gauge, i.e. 3psi max. Thanks for the suggestion.
