Displays Looking for an LCD Monitor

    Preferably 24' inches,
    i found one that i got my eyes on, as of now
    SAMSUNG 2493HM monitor
    which is in my price range of max 500$USD.
    looking for over 1,000:1 contrast ratio etc
    i dont own any lcd tvs or anything lcd, here, so im pretty much a
    noob bout the liquid crystal display scene.
    if anyone can recommend me a good/decent lcd monitor for gaming/movie
    please do so :)

    Looks nice. It'll have a TN panel so the viewing angles won't be great and the colours not as good as they could be, but it'll still be a really sweet monitor. :)

    Yeah... Samsung make very nice screens :hip:

    There's another 24" Samsung available though.
    And at $419.99... the 245BW, it's a full US$80 cheaper (after $50.00 mail-in rebate) than the 2493HM :clap:

    The 245BW is $420 - which is $80 under the (maximum) "$500" budget you mention in your first post?

    You'll likely have to wait quite a while for it to drop in price... certainly a drop in price which would make the wait worthwhile at least :idea:
