anyone know of an online reseller that sells 120,000uF capacitors, preferrably 12v...canada based would be good too :D

.12F 25v cap from Digikey, p/n EEG-AA1E123CCE. Yes, I do realize you said 12v, but you won't find 12v caps, the closest value is 16v, but I seem to remember the rule of thumb being have the rated voltage be twice as much as what the cap will normally be subjected to, which makes 25v a very close shoe-in. If that won't suffice, there's a .13F 40v, p/n EEG-AA1G133FKE.

    D'oh!

    Ok, this one has enough 0s: p/n ECE-T1CP124FA. But, it's only 16v. The highest @ 25v is 100000uF, p/n ECE-T1EP104FA. The closest you'll get is either two 68000uF (p/n ECE-T1EP683FA) or 2 56000uF (p/n ECE-T1EP563FA) in parallel for 136000 and 112000uF respectively.

could you plug two caps in parallel into the circuit, they should act as one shouldnt they?

yea i need to keep the numbers down as space is -extremely- limited, and these caps are definately not small :D
and i need (2) 120000uF caps so ill have to take the 16b ones :S
    thanks though!!

    Energy in joules = 0.5 * C * V2
