    A program that will allow me to end a program by pressing a certain key that I set.

    For example:

    I'm running a game called game.exe
    I want to set it so if I were to hit F12 it would end game.exe if I needed to quit it.

    Any suggestions?

    alt+f4 usually closes whatever the focus is on

    Sounds like you want a panic button...

    Alt+F4 should quit just about any program.

    I often use the (windows), (u), (s) combo which will put the computer to sleep in less than 3 seconds.
