Okay well i right now have the Foxconn Inferno Katana LGA 1156 and i love it to death i used to have my cpu overclocked to 4.3 ghz on it and i love the bored very nice and worth the 200 dollars if u go p55.... Option 1- Keep foxconn board and overclock it and use it in case with alot of fans.... Option 2- Sell and buy the Asus p557d and do a full water cool on it and not get as nice of an overclock... Option 3- Water cool the cpu on the foxconn and overclock it like a crazy man!!!
Watercooling is only marginally better than high end air for overclocking. The CPUs would run into stability issues because of the architecture before it would overheat. The best part of watercooling is low temperatures so you can have really quiet fans and of course who doesn't like some nice UV reactive tubes on display indead of bulky heatsinks.
Not sure what your trying to get out of this, you really love the appearance of your motherboard (don't blame you, looks sweet) and you got a 4.3ghz overclock. But you want to change it?.. did it fry or something? Anyways, out of your options I'd just grab a Titan Fenrir or equivalent for around £30 from Scan and problem solved. Temps aren't as good as water cooling but you probably can get a nice temp 4ghz. Water Cooling really as said above wont be that much higher, and will only squeeze like 0.3-5 ghz out of it. Which really isn't going to be that drastic of a performance increase but looks nice on benchmarks.
Keep the Foxconn board - if it works, if it's stable then DON'T **** WITH IT. You're in the zone, now just stay there, have fun watercooling the CPU - P55 boards don't need it.
i don't remember the exact settings but i had a coolermaster hyper 212 on it which is cheap but amazing i think i had like 72c max load with 1 intake fan 1 cpu fan and 1 exhaust fan
