I didn't think this was worth starting a new thread for, but... I contacted Thermaltake USA. It should have been Thermaltake Europe, but the website kept giving 'send failure' error messages. --- Would it be possible to re-release the Xaser III V1000A (black) chassis at some point in the future? I'm still using one after 6 years but could do with a refresh (aluminium chassis / updated fanbus / cable routing.) I know the Xaser line has continued with the IV and VI range, but these (in my opinion) have a terrible design aesthetic. In comparison to the Xaser III's simple lines, the VI looks a bit like the designer has watched one too many episodes of Gundam Wing. Thanks, * (NB, I'm in the UK but the UK site keeps coming up with a send failure warning. Also, a British telephone numbers errors out the telephone field :/ ) --- Okay, I wasn't really expecting a reply, but... --- Hello *, Thank you for contacting Thermaltake Customer Service. This chassis has been discontinued for over 5 years and there are no plans to have this brought out again. Your idea will be presented in the weekly meeting and passed on to the R& D department --- Kudos to them for the reply. I doubt anything will change on the design front, but some things just have to be said.
If you don't want a common case, pick up a Tagan Curbic. It's cheap and decently made, ideal for someone willing to mod. I helped a friend with his PC, he got the Curbic. We snapped off the door on the front, shaved down an 'external only' fan controller and stuck it into the 3.5" external bay and it looks positively badass.
