**RotoSequence breaks down and sobs because he cant afford dual monitors, TFT or otherwise-let alone computer repairs**

Isn't their brightness quite low? I've seen monitors with 500cd/m², these only have 250cd/m².

I sure would love to, but it'd be so awkward spending more money on the monitors than on the actual PC... ;)

But, the LG site says they have 250cd/m²: http://www.lge.com/catalog/prodmode...obalSuffix=000000&unit=NOTHING&model=NOTHING#

They have 450:1 contrast ratio though.

    edit:

Well, as those are out of my pricerange, and I want two monitors, I checked out the L1520B, which looks exactly the same (only smaller of course). This one will probably be cheap enough (although I can't find any place that sells it yet), but the response time is only 25ms! Argh :wallbash: , they're so pretty...

Be thankful thats only temporary, Stickeh. I am ALWAYS viewing things like this. On a 233 Mhz Processor. On 56k Dialup. on a 15" CRT. The only thing I have you beat in is monitor settings; 1024x768, 16 bit color. Unfortunately, I have nothing better to use. :waah:

OMG i so feel for you man. There monitor had the option for 16bit but id reckon it'd lag it way too much, even 256 from 16 coulours slowed the reboot time!
I was almost prepared to buy them a new pc! Or at least offer them my services to build them one!

Noone should have to live with such low specs, maybe we should make a fund raising scheme for you :)

Good idea, everyone send me money. I'll be the "guardian" of the money until I leave for Cuba and disappear.

How about not? :D Thanks for offering Stickeh :) I really appreciate it :) I dont need that much money or anything either :) I can make due with a computer that only cost $700 :D

EDIT: The sig computer appears to have died due to a really bizarre motherboard failure. That, or the PSU voltage spiked and burned out some of the actively in use peripherals. :wallbash: I should never have bought that ****ty PSU... :waah:

Yes, well how does a motherboard failure cause the gfx card and hdd to die?

Perhaps your next purchase should be photoshop so you can resize your images to a slightly more acceptable size!!!!!

Well I have no problem with the image size... mind you I am on 1MBit/s ADSL and have a 22" monitor running at 1600x1200 :p

I get the feeling the people responsible for this new purchase haven't yet posted in this thread, but no doubt they will in time :)

Very nice M_D_K, but I've seen 6 of the 19" LGs (like those, but bigger) next to each other (running off a couple of rigs). That was quite impressive.

22" monitor is nice, but the system in your sig could use an update ;)
