So.....after many good experiences inside this forum/community first some applause

And now - enough of kissing ass - my question:
My pc is going to die, slow but sure. So i am planning a new machine and basicaly have most of the hardware together: (it may change before i actual buy it but basically its this)

    - ASRock Z77 Extreme4
    - Intel Core i5-3570K
    - Corsair Vengeance LP Series Black DDR3-1600 (8GB)
    - VTX3D RADEON HD 7950 X-Edition V3 Boost
Later i will add some watercooling powered by a Aquacomputer Aquastream XT USB 12V Pump but this will be done by fall or winter.

And here is my problem.....the psu.
I think a 500W should be enough so i went through some shops and reviews and i am in a little conflict between following two psus:
    - Be Quiet Pure Power L8 modular 530W and
    - Corsair Builder Series CX500M 500W

After reviews both of them seem equal to me.
Does anyone have personal experience with one or both psus? (and sorry for my bad english)

They both have a three year warranty, but from what I can see the Be Quiet is slightly more efficient, so given equal prices I'd be tempted to go for that one. Go with your heart.

Thanks....and my theory "500W should be enough" is right or is more power needed?
Many questions but if you dont informyourself for ..... well about 6 years .....and now start to build a pc its like an avalanche of parts and information rolling over someone :D

If you're not too sure what wattage to go for, have a look in here.

At a guess you might get away with a 430w PSU, but I'd err on the side of caution and go a little higher.

all I can say is that the following brands have worked well for me and friends: Crossair, CoolerMaster, XFX, Antec and Seasonic. FOr more info got to find the CPC PSU master review and check the PSU guide thread here.

I've got a BeQuiet PSU and it's solid, I've had Corsiar before too, and again, it's a solid bit of kit.

So.....between those two its more like a personal choice?

    Well.....thanks for those "professional" comments.
Asked the same question in a german forum and the feedback was in a nutshell like "take a Be Quiet! Straight Power E9 CM modular psu - 480 Watt....its far better because it costs more and i want to use watercooling and stay cheap on psu....gtfo noob".
It may be true but i think that good quality dont need to be expansive.

Seasonic are the best for power supplies and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, they are the oem for be quiet power supplies so go for be quiet on that basis. I own a sfx be quiet psu and it is brilliant and so far very quiet and reliable.

I've had good experiences with both Bequiet(that exact model is in the home PC) and Corsair. Pick the prettier/modular/cheaper/more efficient one. Corsair does have the fancy braided cable sets, don't think they do them for the builder series.

Only the high wattage models in the Dark Power Pro P10 series are made by Seasonic. You can see the list here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-oem-manufacturer,2913-4.html

According to that, the Pure Power L8 is made by HEC/Compucase. Not the best you can get. But I guess any OEM can do a decent power supply given a good enough budget.

Moving from an old, generic PSU to a BeQuiet was a major upgrade for me; almost as memorable as fitting as SSD, seriously.

I do wish I'd bought modular though, rather than captive cable.

Go with the BeQuiet but get modular if you can.

Yeah, the BeQuiets have a good rep in Germany, the cheaper models are "mainstream" but not dangerous like china-ebay-psu's .
Sure, the 9 series is more expensive but also more efficient.

If you want to save money however, go with the predecessor, the L7 series, it also comes in a 530W variant. (pure Power L7 530W, think it's not modular though) :D

    Well....i think i will take a L8 530W ..... in my eyes this psu has a good price-performance ratio.
And the 9 series is more effecient but for my planned system with just a little bit of overclocking the L8 will be good enough to run everything for the next couple of years.

Thanks again for all your opinions
