Windows lost my Half life 2 DVD any ideas?

    ive seem to have lost my dvd copy of half life 2... is there any wany of getting a replacment sent.... i do have a legit cd key....

    any ideas?

    You don't need the DVD anyways. Just login with your steam account and download it via steam.

    ive got steam up and running but i cant d/l it as i dont have enough space on c:\... any ideas on how to change the destination..?

    If you can't change it in the settings, try finding the cache folder, and creating a shortcut to your other drive, but keep the folder name the same as it was before. Perhaps the C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steam folder or maybe C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps I dunno... try it! :thumb:

    EDIT: Much simpler way below :duh:

    install steam to a different drive perhaps?

    Actually, that works. I did it the other day 'cos I ran out of space on C:\ :duh:

    Now how are you going to install it to that same overfull drive using the DVD version instead?

    I just have to ask...

    But, yes, installing steam to a different drive/partition is the easiest way. And then download the content.

    OMG i just found my disk... :D i was throwing away some old disks that you get with magazines and my mum came back asking if i wanted them and she opened it and there was my half life 2 disk!! i have no ideas how it got there :S
