Haha, I can just imagine a game based on the HBO series Six Feet Under. Go around and pick up dead people, perform an autopsy, arrange the funeral, and repair the body for it to be viewable in public ina time limit. Hey, that might actually work using the Wiimote.

    The horror!

Actually lost might make a good Brokensword/Monkey Island type game if they can do it right, I heard the 24 game didn't really turn out all that great, so I have muy doubts about this being good too.

Oh yeah they already released a BSG game a while back at a similar time the series was released, I don't think that was any good either, I think it was based more on the old series and not the new one though.

A battlestar game? I know there are countless mods based on the old and new series but I didn't realise there was a game made about it. Any links?

Lost - set on a tropical island, main character's called Jack and monsters come out of the jungle.

Far Cry - set on a tropical island, main character's called Jack and monsters come out of the jungle.

Yeah, I'd employ Ubisoft too :)

My god, what a terrific way to ruin something good.

It could possibley work as a MMORPG - where all the users were "survivors" of a different Dharma project and you had to figured things out from there.

Otherwise, I am not sure how you are going to get the essence of Lost in a VG scenario.

    What a pity.

From what I know of it, the whole story behind "Lost" would make a fantastic adventure game. (Side note: "Adventure games" is what we called "Brokensword/Monkey Island type games" before every man and his dog said to themselves, "Hey, our game has keycards and switches; It's an adventure game!") The thing is, the developers won't want to copy the original story in an adventure game format, because their primary market will be fans of the show who would already know the solutions to all of the puzzles.

Nor can they make up a new, related story with new characters, because then that wouldn't be "Lost", and the fans want a "Lost" game, not a "Lost-alike". At least, that's what their marketing department will be telling them, I'm sure.

That leaves the traditional, license tie-in, pass/fail-mission-based action game with lots and lots of cutscenes. Find at least 5 water bottles in the wreckage. Carry the sweating dynamite back to the hatch without it blowing up. Stalk and kill the wild pig in 10 minutes. Yawn.

I don't see why that would have to be an MMORPG. In fact, it probably shouldn't be one. I don't think that the essence of "Lost" would be captured by script-kiddies running around blowing everything up with hacked dynamite, either. As the basis for a single-player game, though, I think I'd really enjoy that.

    Nezuji :)

    Lost: "Questions without answers"

I am on s2e22 now. and i got 20.000 questions that begin with the word: Why....

They should rename the serie to "Riddles"
In fact i believe they are lost in their own riddle game.

I reckon. The start 'music' always reminded me of Far cry - and the science experiments are just the icing on the cake.
