You would absolutely hate me and my MS Ergo that has the LOUDEST SPACE BAR KNOWN TO MAN. It sounds like I'm dropping a brick from the sixth floor everytime I hit it. In the 4 years of ownership, I could have built the Great Wall by now.

my generic dell keyboard at work is pretty quiet, except when I get carried away all excited like a child seeing Santa in real life. Then the table is the problem, drop a pen on the table and the whole room vibrates. Would bring my G15 from home, except I can't be arsed.

Das Keyboard user here. You're welcome to shoot me if you can concentrate in the noise I produce.

    Mechanical keyboards<3

Though, people who can recreate their noise on a standard keyboard scare me.

It is really irritating, though thats what headphones were designed for :) More irritating for me are people who 'peck' at keyboards. The sporadic 'tap...tap...tap tap tap' gets at me more than a constant stream of typing, it's like an workplace version of chinese water torture.

Probably learned to type on a typewriter (Typewhaaa?...look it up on Wikipedia).:D
Or on an early computer. You know, back when "Keystroke feedback" was in and laptop keyboards were mounted to....well...laptops.

    Try a Cherry G80 or G81 or G83.
Standard workhorse keyboard, klicks loudely and gives you the satisfying feeling of having performed well with every keystroke. :thumb:

Lol my stepdad types so loudly you could here him on the otherside of the house... He would wear the letters off the keyboard in a matter of months, something I have yet to achieve... This was on a standard HP keyboard btw...

I could never, ever use a mechanical / old type keyboard. I currently have the Wireless Illuminated K800 and really love how quiet this is. Earlier I replaced my G15 Rev2 mainly because the typing touch got "loose" and also because as a result of that, it got noisier.

Trying to concentrate with someone bashing a keyboard would be damn near impossible for me.. I feel your pain!

There are quiet mechanical keyboards, not all of them are IBM Model M machinegun style, that would make veterans duck for cover..

I type quite loudly... but thats simply because this keyboard is a plastic pile of crap. Give me my mechanical keyboard damn you!

MS Ergo user here, loudest space bar in the world ever. SQL coder I used to work with would screw his hands up and smash at the keys with his index fingers.

Used to drive the rest of us insane, he was a big guy and mental. We kept quiet.
