Hi need sum advice on low profile cpu coolers. Going to be going on to a pcu like a Intel Q6600 or Q9550 socket 775. Max high i can have is 82mm high. Coolers i have found so far: Silverstone SST-NT06-LITE, CPU Cooler, Black/Silver COOLER MASTER Geminii S RR-CCH-PBJ1-GP Cooler Master GeminII, CPU Cooler, 175mm, Copper/Silver Scythe Shuriken Low Profile CPU Cooler Zalman CNPS8700 NT, CPU Cooler, Gun Metal Grey Zalman CNPS8000 Ultra Silent 92mm CPU Cooler Any advice? Do you no of any others?
the silverstone NT06 was developed for there SUGO cases, it was ok at the time but struggled with high end dual cores if i remember, so on a Q9660 i dont think it'll take your breath away. scythe shuriken is over priced for its performance, and you might aswell stick with the Intel OEM cooler, which is pretty good actually. Cooler Master Gemini II might be you best bet, and it cools your memory! Question: Why such a limited height?
Thanks. High is limited. Using the Silverstone SUGO SG03 case. The PSU sets over the cpu. See photo below.
i was looking for low profile i7 coolers the other day in the intention of installing one in that particular case and I came across this: http://www.nexustek.nl/NXS-LOW-7000_silent-7cm-high-CPU-Cooler.htm and http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/cpu/axp140/product_cpu_axp140.html (don't know if that will work with the 1366 thermalright bracket though
That is a new cooler tominated. Cannot get that cooler in NZ. Cooler Master Gemini II in the sg03 case Silverstone SST-NT06-LITE, CPU Cooler, Black/Silver
go on, you know you want to water cool! Aircooling and the SUGO series was an issue from the start, even tho the gemini II fits there isn't any room for its fans
LOL. Yeh i have seen 2 watercooled ones before. cramped into the case. Dont really want to spend $$ on water cooling and have to try install it all.
i'm thinking about trying to get dad to let me make a watercooled sg03 for our next pc (which he keeps delaying)
Yeh there is room in the SG03 for watercooling set up. If you plan it all and get the right parts. Here is a water cooled one. i have seen about 3 of them now. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1286040
have you seen the frostytech low-pro chart? that site's always my first stop (yes, even before bit) when i'm looking for heatsink info.
where'd you find that one with the swiftech apogee drive? I saw the other, but i was planning on using that block if i do get to build one
Thanks supertoad. Coolermaster GeminII S look nice but cant have fans on it. Like the Scythe Shuriken Heatsink and it can have the fan on it and fit. Tominated here is another link to the other water cooled SG03. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1256357 Also have a look at this. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1032726331
In a dual core is the cpu usage always the average of both processors? lets say in a dual core one processor is at 100% and the other is at 50% then will the cpu usage be 75% so then is it the average of the two processors even in quad core's if not then explain what it is. __________________ external keyword tool ~ keyworddiscovery.com ~ keycompete.com ~ compete.com ~ webmasterworld.com
