I was woundering what the thinest low profile fans you can get for 80mm and 70mm fan size are? and where you can buy these ultra low profile fans? also has any one had any experiance with low profile fans when it comes to noise / performace (amount of air they push)? thanks matt
Zalman sells a very thin 80mm fan, originally to be used with their OP1 VGA cooler but can be bought separately. I have one undervolted, at 5v it's inaudible, at 12v can't remember
I think you can get them from maplin as part of there pentium coolers..there like 8mm thick i think, and are noisyer, but i think this may be because they are cheap, and i didnt volt mod itl.. have a look.
Try http://www.sunon.com.tw/english.htm or http://www.sunonusa.com/. Would you consider making a 2x2 array from 40mm fans? Sunon offers them down to 6mm thickness. Standard 25mm fans are often only 8mm thick, a 3x3 array would fit into the space of an 80mm fan.
Zalman ZM-OP1 looks absolutly perfect for my needs. cheers alot Coorz and to all those who didnt find the perfect solution for me, thanks for helping anyway
