What do you guys think? It looks pretty good to me. Sound quality isn't tops, but it isn't bad by any means (would be more comfortable if it would show the bitrate... but oh well), unlimited downloads for $10/mo... $0.79c a burn, which puts a 12track CD at ~$9.50... Granted they dont' have every band, but they do have more than I expected under the ska section... So what do you guys think? Are they on the right track finally?
Not really If I want low quality music that sounds like your listening to it with your head stuck down a toilet I'll download an MP3 from Kazaa for free. If I want to own the music, I want it to be high quality (that also means decently produced) and I'll buy the CD.
Good idea, bad implementation. Like JStormont said, if I wanted ****ty sounding music I'd get it off Kazaa, but I like my quality sound, and hence buy the properly produced CDs. If they had the same quality as CDs (or SACDs, or DVD-As ) then it would be better. Meh.
True, I probably wouldn't even bother asking if it were CD-quality... but $10/mo to legally listen to just about any song I'm considering purchasing the CD to...
Personally, if I'm unsure if I like a CD or not, I'll just hit the artist's website, MP3 sites, or Kazaa and downlaod a few tracks to see how they sound. And it doesn't cost me anything.
The point is going the kazaa route is still illegal... $10/mo really isn't bad for a legal service, I mean we pay $30 for cable tv...
