NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED to know how to do that MacroBlack logo at the top of your case dood! Makin a DivX player soon and I wanna make little shapes that light up above the buttons like an arrow for play, square for stop etc, the usual. Plus a thing that says 'position' too :)

Anyway, I'll just have to wait patiently with all the other guys and gals here won't I!

I just came round from the coma....

Alright. You should now know what it is like to be a god. I have already built my shrine to you.....

Seriously. To someone like myself who knows sh*tloads about the "normal" side to PCs (Software, hardware) but wants to know sh*tloads about modding, you are an icon. My only mod so far is to bring the voltage down on my PSU fan. It was making far too much noise, and on a PC like mine I dont need much cooling, especially in the PSU. Anyway. Enough about me.

PLZPLZPLZPLZPLZ Put that thing in front of a backdrop and take us some froody dextop wallpapers for us. We NEED them.

BTW can anyone recommend some easy (Dont care if their pointless) mods to me so i can get practice in. System info and pics on request. I have plenty of spare parts kicking about, so no worries about destroying stuff either (Ill warn you now my PC is cr*p, (I prefer to call it POC, "Piece Of Cr*p") but it cost me £60 for the lot so no complaining :D)

    Dont Worry d00d

This may not be the opinion of others, but i personally feel that i would rather you slow it down, take your time and produce us some quality wordage. lets face it. how many people are sat at home with part-finished macroblacks waiting to be finished.

btw i must say that that feet idea totally rox. very original. thats the sort of mod i might start out with. at first i thought they were gonna be real hard to set up. guess i was wrong. what about wiring the front two with a second red wire, and wire that to HDD activity? just an idea. i get them sometimes, but they usually die of lonliness before i get a chance to tell any... what were we talking about?

    enough for now.

Fair point, what is it you would like to see? Different style, more detail what?
The complete article is going to be fairly lengthy and I am trying to keep it in small manageable chunks plus so far I think most of the material is pretty straight forward and does not require any real detailed text. If peeps want more detail then say so. One comment I will make judging from the many e-mails I receive asking questions is that many people don't seem to bother actually reading the text.

I can understand that, people are just trying to pick their jaws up off the floor as the article progresses.

I have to read the article thru a few times, as I keep looking further into the pictures to find if there is more detail than meets the eye. I like the style, its compact, and from what I see, the things that you have done are fairly well explained by the pictures, and I guess on the more difficult parts of the case, you will elaborate on what the pictures tell you.

From what the case looks like IMO it is lots of "fairly" simple mods, done very well, with a high amount of precision, and when put together it just looks so amazing. :D

Suspense? peeps have been waiting ages for the next part :D

The feet should be pretty straight forward, the hardest part is finding suitable containers and connecting the string which is covered in another, (linked), article.
The polymer does exist but I can't remember where I have seen it;) Of course there's always EL sheet, basically neon string in sheet form.

In all honesty the Macro Black project was intended to demonstrate a variation on clear case modding and is meant to promote creativity rather than be copied. I have a preference for recycling materials as will become more obvious as the article grows. ;)

Constructive critisism is always a positive thing! :)

Love the articles and the more i read about the case the more impressed i am. I gotta admit when i first saw it, i was impressed but the thought crossed my mind that a lot of cash was spent doing it (i even saw some posts to that effect on other boards). But while reading the articles i was pleasantly suprised to learn that the big investments were in labor and attention to detail instead of money. I loved seeing that the case feet were made from surplus household items and cant wait to see what other recycling you have done. Keep up the good work, I'll be awaiting the next installmnet.

    peace.
