    i made my own version
    posted this under his article duiscussion too :eek:

    instead of using that mousepad rubber, i just used glass rubber knob thingers
    and then i went through 3 sheets of shattered plexiglass, and put tinfoil on instead of that 3d film foil
    and i used no 3dfilm, just used paper with a inkjet printer and put a high static charge through a transparency which stuck it to the paper (paper was glued) and u cannot move the transparency, u gotta pry it off on the corner :p

    the good thing about it is that i can jot notes down on my mousepad, and wash em off afterwards :D
