Not 'Picture CDs'. (there is, alas, a difference.) A CD with jpegs on was [burned|burnt] on a windows box as a data CD. There is normally nothing wrong with this, as everything we have reads them. This was then handed to someone with a Mac. (other than it was purchased in 2008, I know nothing about it) The mac fails to read the disc: Research ensues. The bold bit is the problem, I suspect. Is there a simple and/or quick way of getting the Mac to read 'ordinary' data CDs? NB: I don't have access to the(or, any) Mac, so am restricted to emailing advice.
Never burnt Anything to a Data DVD, so.... There should be no problem, as OS X can read any type of file system, and every Mac released in '08 had a DVD Drive. If they can be read in XP/Vista, then there should be no problem at all, has the specific disc been used in another PC and it Worked? Last thing i suggest is USB Flash Drives
