    Ola!

I love MakeMKV for its ease of use however my beta is too old hence won't run, and the MakeMKV website's been down for a while.

Any recommendations of what I could use in the meantime? I mainly convert BluRay/DVD rips from their native M2TS or ISO or VIDEO_TS formats...

    Many thanks,

    Cleggy.

Could BluRip be something that works for you?

I use AnyDVD HD with Handbrake and ripbot264.

MakeMKV did work for me, but I dislike his constant "beta" phase and considering what he was offering illegal and yet still wanted to charge £40 for a licence! Shady business...

Thanks chaps, I'll look into both. So far I've tinkered with HandBrake to encode into MKV lossless, however a 4GB DVD rip ends up around 120GB. Weird! I'm all for quality but know that I'm simply wasting disc space when the output file is larger than the input file...

I always have used handbrake.. Set quality to about 20 for a decent sized rip!
