Modding Making buttons to control software with the parallel port

    How would i set this up? I recently boght a bunch of momentary spst switches and I was wondering about using the parallel port to make buttons for use in a program like girder or something like that. Would I simply short a data line to ground with the switches to act as buttons? or are there any other wires to use?
