    Hi,

My PC with Windows 7 is connected to our college wifi network to access the internet. I want to make my PC a hotspot and use share this internet connection on my samsung galaxy phone. Please help me with step by step approach.

My phone cannot directly connect to college network, since access is provided only to my laptop.

So basically I would like my laptop to act as bridge to share wireless internet connection.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Do you have two separate wireless cards in your laptop? If not I don't think it is physically possible to do. If you get a separate wireless access point and connect that by wire to your laptop, you might be able to set it up.

It's possible and easy. I do this for occasional use for my ipod. This tutorial explains how to set it up quite well. For starting the network, which you will need to do every time you restart the pc, I made a .bat file then used .bat to .exe and set it as a scheduled event on power on so it is all done automatically.
