I just swapped my ASUS 275 for a BFG one, i used driver sweeper and got the 260 drivers off Nvidia's site (had 258 previously). Now while using the BFG card the driver crashes and recovers every 10 seconds, this is while idling on the desktop.

    Hlep?

^I was using 260.99. I just tried some demanding games like EFLC and Metro, and the funny thing is the card works flawlessly in those BUT it still does its crash cycle on the desktop. The plot thickens.

Thats odd, if it was going to give trouble it should do it during a good work out. tried rolling back?

have you got power saving features on the mobo switched on, if so disable it to the GPU.

Is it a factory OC card? i had 3 bfg 275 ocx cards that all had the same issue as yours, the only solution i found was downclocking them to oc2 speeds, at which they ran perfectly!

Huh.... I popped the card back in to drop the OC but now it just works all of a sudden. Yeah, okay, i can live with that.
