I have had 4 red ones so far, and two of them have worked :(

one of them 'dulled' after 2 days of use, it looked like it running at &v's or summit,

but so far the other ones have been fine,

and one I bought second had was DOA :(

erm, there cheap so theyll do, just keep your reciept and take it back,

    the inverters are fine though,

dont take any crap from them....they might tell you they dont stock them anymore, because if they check the website/database they are not there....this is just to so they dont send them out in the post (tooo many breakages) so when you get to a store, assure them that you know that maplin stock them, they will give you/order one in for you

    Original joke was

Brummie walks into a 70's style shop in London and asks for a wide collared shirt. After coming out of the changing room the assistant asks
"Would you like a kipper tie with that?"
The Brummie answers "Taa very muuch, two sugars"

    I'll get my coat....

you ordered it? over the net? i didnt think they allowed that anymore, and be prepared for a breakage....

It does come in a plastic tube....but its really flimsy and wont protect against anything..

they come i na plastic tube just like what microchips come in when you buy them from mappers,

so it looks like that plastic gurder style stuff,

my advice, this is what I did, whe nyou go the shop to collect them, take a carboard tube like what a poster comes in a and some bubble wrap, then as soon as you pick them up, wrap up the whole shebang in bubble wrap and put in the tube, keeping it nice and snuggly safe,

Does anybody know where i can get some plastic to replace what they come in?

Will somewhere like B & Q or focus stock something the same.

Might be expensive off the net for a small piece with the delivery..........:waah:

the plastic they come in is fine to hold them in, I have used sticky pads to hold my two in my case with them in the mappers tube,

its only for posting thatd I beef them up

personally i wouldn't use the plastic they come with. I would invest in some acrylic tubing. :)
