Modding Maplin Cathode

    the only reason I can see for this is for the light transimitting properties, is this why???

    Well yes and no!

    The main reason is to protect the tube itself. they are very brittle........:nono:

    The cold cathodes from pcmods or anywhere like that come in a protective tube.............

    but as soon as its in situe I dont think it matters that much,

    either way, better safe than sorry really

    I am gonna get some tube for mine, but only becasue of the light properties
