At the moment mine just rest on the bottom of the case, seems the best place for them. :)

sounds interesting :) how long did most people have to wait for their cathodes? and do they or do they not come with power connectors [not that that's a major problem, i can solder one on easily enuff]

I'm not going to say anything because if I'm wrong, I'll look like a fool...
Sometimes notes are put next to Item codes in the EPOS system at work and, well, there are a few interesting notes next certain items we might be talking about. I don't want to post it and see it pulled at the last moment, sorry.
All I'll say is if you can wait to order them until then do so...
and i shall say no more.
    ;)

PS I'm going to get some ordered into store for myself this week, I hope they package them a little better that they usually pack stuff destined for us!!!

    What's the point

At last third time lucky, Cathode intact.

Plugged in and ready to go, but wait no light?

Run my fingers along the tube and the light travels half way up and thats it.

I get the meter out and I'm fidderling about if I short out one of the transistors, it lights up, strange.

I think the invertor is borked :(

Time to through in the towel?

Keep the transistor shorted then if that works! Seriously, pity you haven't got another inverter to try out - then you'd know for sure. Ask for a replacement inverter and mess around with that one.

Well I thought that this might work well - use the tube it came in then double sided tape underneath or velcro? Fits nice and snug... what you thinkg?
