Hi ppl this is probably gonna be a stupid question and one hard to explain but here goes anyway Im making a rheobus from some strip board and have wired all molexes on ok and stuff and all the lighting for it as its gonna look like macro's rheobus he did in his lian li now my idea is that when i go to bed or leave the puter on for a while id like to turn the lights off so ive hooked up a toggle switch from mappers the black ones with a white dot but it does seem to work diagram if it works 1 2 3 \ \ \ -------\ 4 \-----\ Key 1 red wire leading to switch via a audio jack type plug 2 same as above 3 red wiring leading to lighting affect 4 gap i left in the soldiering pic of audio jack now i thought the switch would just cut the power to the red wire hence cutting the power to the lights but nothing happens got any ideas guys
to explain more i was in a rush the wire leading to an audio jack is just for the ease of taking my side panel off as the switch is connected there!! if you know what i mean
wrong forum. moving to electronix. damn, i keep forgetting im not a moderator around here... im not an electronix guy, but i know out of the 4 wires to a molex you only need to use 2, so its a 50/50 chance of which one to break. i think, lol. .icecube
damn i always forget about the electronics forum ive just added this page straight to my favourites lol probably to cut a long story short which wire do i have to cut into to stop the current passing through red or black i thought it would be red but not sure
try them both? lol. youll have to wait till this thread is moved into electronix and is answered. .icecube
I not using the scart bit of the picture just the audio jack and the reason is so that i can take my side panel off easier as the switchs are mounted on the side panel + ive mounted the rheobus into an old cdrom unit, basicly its so i dont have to muck about
