Martial Arts fans, Ong Bak

I just watched the trailer for this film and it looks awsome. Tony Jaa the actor was a stunt man before filming this and apparently all the stunts are done by himself with no CGI or Wire work... if thats the case, this guys a nutcase. im definatly going to try and get hold of this on DVD after watching the trailer...

 

ive had the hong kong copy for ages now.....it was out atlest 2years ago.....an im a fan of martial arts movies but this film just sucked ass........the film is really crap....the story dosent even come into it.....an the fights r good but there r many tell tell signs that the fights r planed an staged.

 

I heard that too, the fights are meant to be good but the story sucks.

 

Yeah I saw this a while ago fights are cool but crap story as already said.

 

Saw this and it's like a cheesey 80's Jean Claude Van Damme movie crossed with Jackie Chan over-sentimentality and goofy humour. Some good fighting but not enough to live up to the hype it's been getting. Far too much storyline (and its a rubbish story too) and some overdone plotting. I actually read that this guy was the next Bruce Lee. I don't see it at all. See it for the novelty of some quite incredibly brutal looking Tai boxing moves and nothing else.
