Wondering whether it'll be better to offload the useable tech in here then buy stuff or build with what I've got... Thanks in advance Ian
How about this mobo? I'm sure there was a used one on the bay the other day. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H67I_DELUXE/. It will take your i3 2120T and DDR3 Sodimm x2. Otherwise have a look at what Parge and Blogins are doing with AM1 for HTPC/AV duty. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=278711. The AM1 kit is inexpensive and may do the trick. Good luck with your deliberations!
I believe there is a variation of mini-ITX called thin-ITX (though it is Intel only) which takes laptop RAM. I almost did this when I built a file server recently, but it was cheaper to buy a new stick and AM1 mobo than a thin motherboard and save the RAM.
Like this any good? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/giga...sata-iii-6gb-s-raid-displayport-hdmi-mini-itx
