Downloading at 1.0MB/s - they dont seem to suffer the same peak load download stress that steam has been plagued with since HL2! Maybe they just dont have the same user base?!

Edit: Make that 1.5MB/s, that's my connection maxxed out! Can't wait!

I won't be playing the demo. I don't want to ruin the impact of ME3 when it arrives in all its glory.

I finished playing through ME2 again last week. SUCH a good game.

 

Finished the demo, was darn awesome.
Disappointed that you don't get to choose any decisions though. Not sure how I feel about the "improved combat", the rolls are good, but the addition of ladder and gaps just seems a bit gimmicky.
The return of a non universal cooldown is a welcome addition.

Just as an FYI, I managed to download and install it around 7pm, when the servers were completely free. No idea why it was live for me any apparently no-one else.

 

Can i use my Shepard from prev games in the Demo??? Any info appreciated!

If it makes you feel better you can use your ME2 face code to customise your shepard.

 

Where would i find a face code in my ME2 save data?!

 

The ME2 squad screen, should be above shep's name. Note it down then load ME2 and enter the code.

 

Downloaded at 7.30 ish - no multi player access yet - combat is a bit faster but the cover system is annoying as EVERYTHING is now cover and you always have to walk back to get away from it - going sideways involves the space-bar which moves you to more cover!

Good game though - whetted my appetite enough that I'm going to have a hard time waiting until 9th March to play the whole thing.

BTW Played as a sentinel - best of both worlds imho

 

Hmmm... it was Mass Effect.

But i wasn't like "ZOMG" (and am rather sad about that).

The biggest complaint i had with the demo was that the Infiltrator (possibly my new favourite class - tied with Vanguard) doesn't get a Sniper Rifle during the demo... which is:

a) Heresy.

b) Lame.

However it seems like they've kept Scope Up Slow Motion (according to the text), so i guess i'm happy for now.

As soon as I didn't get my rifle, i swapped over to the Vanguard and it's Mass Effect as normal... charging everywhere, destroying things with a shotgun.

Interesting to see the new "Fitness" for Melee... looks to synergise with the Vanguard well and even the other more "Glass Cannon" classes (Adept, Infiltrator) can be more brawl-y now.

Really want to play ME2 now -.-'. Damn.

 

enjoyed a bit of co-op, hoping to get a few mates on tomo night and will then be much better imagine, not gonna play the SP for fear of spoilers
