Seven people have been killed and about 100 injured in a massive blast outside the Australian embassy in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta. Jakarta's police chief said a suicide car bomb may have caused the blast, and linked it to bomb expert Azahari Husin. The BBC's Rachel Harvey says it left a large crater in the ground and damaged buildings and motor vehicles all about. more here
, why do these terrorists target Australians, but when they arn't actually in Australia? (like the bali bombings) not that i'd want an attack in Australia :|
elections are coming up....go jonny! put on yer best monkey face and let your fellow mates know that youre going to do the do just as george w can... what the world is coming to is the real question....
Simple - all terrorists want to do is to kill people who don't subscribe to their policies and beliefs. Terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
Wow, really didn't expect to see something like this on the news. Why is it that certain Indonesian extremist groups hate Australia so much? Sounds like American foriegn policy
Okay, let's not go there again I found more of this at Fox News. Looks like they're blaming Jemaah Islamiyah who are linked with Al Qaeda.
Okay, how about USA Today or the Washington Post? Maybe over at CNN? There all saying the same thing as it's an AP story.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/3642394.stm that is from the bbc news website...nothing about al qaeda...oh, well the guy that is probably responsible for it was UK trained...oh the irony!
Okay, so what's your point? Will you argue with what Wikipedia says about Jemaah Islamiyah? The new stories are simply mentioning that this terrorist group has links to Al Qaeda, not specifically stating that they had anything to do with it.
It doesn't matter what the topic is, or how accurate you are. It doesn't save us from the fact that America sux so bad, we get it, but just in case, post it 6M more times please, I'm so stupid and biased because I'm a product of the overly christianized and ultraviolent defunct and inept school system. Michae Moore was right, I was wrong. I just sold my baby to a heartless American corporation so I could go buy more fast food and get fat-fat-fatter. Oh how I crave the gosphel truth of rap and broadband. Diversify me for I have sinned.
blah! i shall go back and edit my posts! as i said i didnt mean to offend anyone, but the fact that everything these days gets related to one event does get quite tedious! it has nothing to do with you, or the next american, but the fact that news agencies and whoever else love making money of the same ol' thing.... the matter of the fact is that i personally dont see the connection, as the trouble between oz/indonesia goes back quite some time, and as you can read on the bbc website is quite election, or in john howards case re-election related...the only reason i actually know is because i was in canberra when it first got brought up in the australian news...anyway thats just my 2p, and i guess i got a bit over-excited when the first response was that it was al qaeda related... once again i did not wish to offend anyone...
I don't think that your post was directly intended to insult anyone, it's just that (and I think most people here from the US will agree) that it seems that lately all we ever hear is derogatory comments either indrectly or directly pointing at American's in general and it's getting old. Again, the news agencies are NOT connecting the bombing with Al Qaeda, they are stating that Jemaah Islamiyah and Al Qaeda are linked, that's all.
