    Hi there,

I've just bought a lovely new shuttle, and as I'm a total n00b at building, do I have to match the FSB speeds of the processor and ram? The mobo supports up to 400MHz on the RAM but the XP processor I want runs at 333MHz. Will there be a performance increase matching the FSB speeds? (not planning to OC)

A quick answer will do so puhleeeaase help! :D

If your CPU runs at 333, then so will your RAM/FSB. Unless you overclock.

It's always advised to run the CPU and RAM at the same speed for best compatibility/stability.
So running them both at 333MHz will be fine.
But the Shuttle will allow you to set the RAM to 400MHz and the CPU to 333MHz if you so wish, and TBH it should run just fine like that.
