This kind of thing really floats my boat, I'd love it, however.

The turn off on this for me is the same turn off with the 30" widescreen LCDs. You're gonna have to upgrade your GFX card much more often to be able to run the latest games at the native resolutions (pretty high for both). Atleast, that's my thoughts.

    yes but think about this.
Using the triple head means you only have one card to drive 3 monitors so only 1 card needed to upgrade.

The article suggests using an SLI setup, so two cards to upgrade.

considering the resolution you have to drive

SLI is probably required to run at like medium settings

    hi guys,noob here

which make of Gcard you use imho doesn't matter as long as it supports 3840X1024 for the TH2G and is beefy enough ,the TH2G is seen as a monitor as far as your PC is concerned :thumb:

i bought the best i could in LCD just for the TH2G
(best affordable that is at £250 each)
viewsonic 19 inch VX922 with 2mS rate :eeek:
funny enough my PC desk which i made myself(8 ft wide by 4 ft deep  ) now looks positively barren since my 21 inch CRT was removed

can't wait for the TH2G to be released

    i rang them
they said that is an error, they are expecting delivery to CORK IRELAND this week and don't expect to ship them to retailers till next week sometime, so if you pre ordered then it could be 2nd week of june by the time you get it if retailers pre ordered their lot before you guys(and depends on numbers too)

take it with a pinch of salt, for all we know the pre ordered peeps might get them sooner :thumb:

oh and reason for the delay?
one was a new feature,to allow it to work as a DUALHEAD(2 screens only)
which i won't be using :hip:

Well if they are adding new features, i wont be too upset :)

I pre-ordered directly from their shop, so hopefully i should get it fairly early.

I'd be interested in seeing your setup once you have the device, and comparing notes :)

the "gapless" LCDs are coming online, sony has one but it's still expensive so i reckon within 1 year we will see them at normal prices ;)

there is a big difference between widescreen and multimonitor
widescreen is just that, wide screen, but multi monitor, when supported, doesn't stretch the current image but actually gives you about a 45 degree field of view ;)

and i've been told angling the 2 outer monitors makes a HUGE difference
and TH2G has support from 150 or more current games

lets see, hope it's all it's cracked up to be

Got mine today, although i havent really had time to play with it properly

The few games ive tried work nicely in widescreen, but the HUD really messes up.

Small problems i noticed is that the box runs really hot (to the point i cant keep my hand on it), and that there is ghosting on all the monitors (although that could just be my bad cables).

I still need to finish building my monitor arm, but i will post alot more of my experiences when i update my project log.

just checked with DABS and now they have it listed *dancing banana*
    (but not in stock yet)
which ties in with MATROX telling me shipment arrives at their cork warehouse by today,so DABS should have it within a few days
oh and they were £13 cheaper than shopmatrox, bonus ;)

has become annoying to see 2 of my LCD's sat there in the dark :(

    arrived today :jawdrop:
    so easy to setup :naughty:
and worked straight away in EVE ONLINE
    impressive FOV :hip:
and done properly,so no distorsion of any part of the game, because game is not stretched, but FOV has been increased
    no ghosting either

desktop mode it is not so friendly,as there are issues with some banding on left and right monitor and certain fonts don't come out too well

but i bought it for gaming :hip:
