Howcome whenever I download something off of IE 6 it seems to cap at exactly 100kb/s. When Steam downloads updates and preloads games, I've opened the monitor box and it sometimes reaches 4MB/S (4000kb/s) which is insanely fast for a d/l. I just dont understand this.
steam must display bits (b) per second as opposed to bytes (B) per second I usually get about 150KB/s down, which is 1300Kb/s roughly
well, some progam's writers are idiots (like ie for example) and don't feel like being correct with KB and Kb another reason to ditch ie
Most people will tell you to get Firefox. I would certainly recommend it. Get it from www.mozilla.org , but get Firefox and NOT mozilla. Firefox is better imho.
wow, I downloaded firefox and I imported all my favorites (took less than .1 seconds) and the interface is much like ie except it's not crowded with all kinds of useless crap. Thanks
