The new dream sequences are cool :naughty: I like the warping effect and motion blur, aswell as the ridiculouly long staircase with stacked boxes at the top in the first one. [not the hospital]

They sucked big time in the first game though...

Does anyone else think Max jumps like Super Mario?

Just got started in part three.. great game, but I can sense it's going to be too short.

It seems a little easy, once you get past any ultra hard bits (i.e. it's not consistently difficult, it's easy, easy, easy, nightmare, easy, easy, etc..).

Rocking moments have to be killing the last person in a group, in bullet time and having to reload, so the rotating 'death' scene actually shows you reloading.

Environment interaction is awesome, if this is even almost as good as Half Life, it's going to be incredible.

All in all, great game.. just a shame I'm going to have finished it so quickly :(

Awesome game, to me it played like a movie, the ending and theme song capped it off for me, best executed game i've seen since Deus Ex albeit a little short, all in all it leaves me with a nice satisfyed feeling,

Just completed it yesterday and i have to say im very impressed with the game. Even tho its nearly the same as the first the story line keeps you thrilled and the game play is awesome :thumb:

I dont mind it being short as its a game u could play over and over so u can get some cool bullet time actions :hip:

I just finished it. Which is a testament of my devotion to finish games... My sound card has an annoying, unfixable bug where it crashes my computer randomly in video games. :grr:

Anyone gotten the alternative ending yet? Its nothing speciall really, but still cool to get.

Now that Ive beaten the game, Im gonna try and see if i can mod it. Id really like the blur effect while shoot dodging and some more hang time.

Just completed it, but I knew the end story line anyway since I watched the other half complete it before I could.
It's good, but like everyone says, too short. There's not enough in part 8 in Wodens Manor - you kill, what, 10 guys if you're lucky??
And the rooftop bit is just too like the first game :(
I'm gonna be having dreams of me as max payne for the next several weeks now though :)

oooh just finished it, fantastic! best game i've played in ages. my only concern is where they take the game from here, the majority of the gameplay was just like the first one which was good, but what new things could you add to the third to not make it tedious and feel just like a re-hash. if you get my point?

I'm impressed by the physic simulation (when you hit a chair, it moves or falls exactly as you would expect in real world).

One little problem i noticed is that when i quit the game, windows becomes horribly slow and i have to restart (it seems a memory issue).

maybe it will be Max Payne the early years as in max at high school, maybe a cross over Sam and Max Payne, or even Max 'Power' Payne for a boy racer style adventure

not no there isn't any obvious way they can go for a third game, only thing that comes to mind would be a "opossing force" style where you play from Mona's perspective the first game, and it then fills the games from where she goes in the lift to where we find her in 2

Finished!. It was a piece of cake. :p
Very similar to the first but always funny and well made.
I loved two things in particular: the Vinnie-puppet and the credit's song (the guitar was awesome).

one of the best parts of the game imo, is goin into bullettime/bullet dodge diving with the ak into a guy and having him just fly up/back into a wall like you would see in a movie from the bullets hitting him. In-friggan-credible   .

i also like when it goes into super slow-mo when you press ctrl+r after firing off a few rounds and he does the ducking spin reload.

ooo yeaaa the rag-doll physics in this game are top notch.

the one thing that suprised me, is how well my computer plays the game wen im using the stock vid card that came with my comp, :hehe: .

that was brilliant!! seeing him decked out in the costume, esp when he's walking around the level, your trying so hard not to wet yourself with laughter and still kill all the bad guys :waah:

One of my friends sent me that song last night, it's really really nice.
At uni just now though, so can't check who it was by/its name. Will post when I get home :)
