    hi..

i would like to put another fan in my psu.. but there is not that much space since i made a window in there a few month ago..
now i thought to cut the hole for the fan half way in the window and half in the metall of the case.

    and here is my question..
can i cut of half of the plastic around the fan?
would the fan still work effectiv if I cut of the red marked plastic?

    hope you can help me..

It would be fine, if the motor has enough support and the rest of the frame is secure.

there are these 4 sticks at the backside the motor is mounted on.. if there are 2 left that should be enough i hope...

but what do you mean with "rest of frame is secure?" (sry.. but i'm not that good in english and i know more than one meaning for "rest" and "frame" :sigh: )

I thought that there might be problems with the airflow... that the fan-wings could not build up suction if the half of the body would be missing...

It'll work yes, however your airflow will probably be reduced a lot.
