We tested the GPU in the board and in the case and decided that we needed to brake up the colours a little as it was overly too silver. Since the main board has a Red Led stripe showing the separate sound amplifier on board we've decided to change the MSI Dragon to a red dragon as in MSI very own logo. This will give it a little more bite.

We have all so gone for a aluminium plated reflective Main backing plate and insted of have black backing were swapping over to Black lettering. this will give the illusion of more depth and also reflect the main board better.

It taken longer than expected due to other commitments how ever its better to take you time and get it right then waste a fortune of doing it wrong.

We will also publish the files needed to do one your self as this doesn't happen often.

MSI GTX 980 TI Back Plate laser cut .This is Alumium layered on black plastic on Alumium mirror with accents. There is a clear Perspex for the top to protect the plate.

The base plate is lifted from the PCB to aid in creating air flow so we have no warping issues.

@asura nothing like colloidal silver.... Nano tubes :)

I hate to be difficult, but...
    ... and...
... are incompatible. Silver nanoparticle coated carbon nanotubes, or silver nanowire? I presume as it's pure silver it's nanowire, but either way major props to you for doing something like this. I love bold new stuff. And as a jeweller like FAT I love silver. However, either way the tubes/wires are grown/deposited not ground down...

FAT, either of the above materials starting costs are about the same per gram as bullion silver is per kilo... Mr. Mayhem is pushing a mad, mad envelope.

Ah now you see this is were science gets interesting you can crush / grind / in our case force silver into different configs (nano balls, crystals, tubes ect ect) using methods quite new to the industry how ever due to the time it takes to make them they are not up to manufacturing levels in grate quantises. Ill not go into it much as were personally keeping it to our self for possible future use. Its been verified under electron microscope we do indeed have what is said above from a method we use (how ever were not saying exactly how its made and how we've done it, but keeping what we do say simple). Yes the cost is mental but the end product using glass and silver is different and only a few will understand the costs involved in what were doing here. Btw you are correct in alot of what you said above

    On with simple pics anyway

Me and Matty have been playing and learning how to bend plastic, not as easy as people think when you don't have the right tools.

How ever we managed to get a good result for the PSU cover in the end after wasting a few sheets of Acrylic.

here is the coral draw file we made and you can use as needed. Its made spacial for the In-Win 805 case with a 60mm thick Mayhems Havoc rad with the sun flower logo but you can adjust as needed.

Acrylic is enormously easy to bend with just a heat gun and a workbench. Lock it in along the bend line et voila.

Yes it easy to bend if you do not have cut out that like to fight the bend and logos that are suspending half way down the bend. If your doing simple bends its easy, how ever add in logos and cut out's which are only 4mm from the bend it becomes much harder.

We managed this by using 2 heavy work tops with the plastic sandwiched in-between so when it bent the logo and cut out did not warp out of place.

Ill presume you don't know what a sponsored build is then! Mayhems is proud to show whom has gifted and sponsored our build and whom is helping out this one off test build.

Respect your sponsors and they will respect you....

I know what a sponsored build is, yes. It's just that there's this huge honking INWIN logo on the case, then a huge honking SUPER FLOWER one on the PSU box and then another enormous MSI logo on the backplate. So all I see when I look at your build is advertising and not the build itself.

It's probably compounded by the fact it's a rather small build and the logos are absolutely huge.

I would have removed all of the text and just put the logos on there.

Hopefully it will become a bit less apparent when the piping, res and coolant go in.

I all ways thought a sponsored build is like a two way street, the sponsors get free advertising on what is sometimes a unique build and the sponsored gets help with the parts that would have cost them money.

Yeah I thought the advertising bit was the "200 pics of a stick of ram" bit rather than slapping huge logos all over your case.

For this build to work (IMO) it needs to be simplistic and the focus needs to be on the unusual motherboard and coolant etc. Not to be totally distracted by a load of what equate to billboards slapped all over the place.

I agree mate, TBH sponsorship is really business and nothing to do with respect the company only cares about profit, the sponsor gets it's name out there and the sponsored get a little bit of kudos and some financial help.

The adverts spoil the build IMO and they will all ways be there

Yup they will since the system is a show peace for our Mayhems Shop.

@Vault-Tec you enjoy your 200 photos of a stick of ram.

    Forgot about this part.

Then put the thing in a workbench and put the logo under the bend. So like this -

All you need then is a cheap heat gun. The bench I am using is made by Silverline and cost me about £14 delivered from Amazon. The heat gun was a tenner? IIRC and I used it solidly for about a year before the power switch broke so I took it apart and just wired it to be on as soon as you plug it in.

Then you are not bending anywhere near to the logo and the logo is safely out of the way, locked under a 3/4" solid piece of wood.

It looks to me like you are using 5mm acrylic which yeah, would be very hard to bend. For a PSU cover 3mm is ideal. It only sits there with nothing on it or over it.

How will the silver remain in suspension and not sink?

@ Matty and i spent time yesterday going though the layout of the loop as original plan didn't work. ill be making a bracket today for it so we can try some thing different. Were looking at mounting the Pump/Res combo on the rad. The bracket that comes with it doesn't go to the level we need so were making an extension to it.

@HandMadeAndroid We are using a nonionic Dispersant fluid that suspends the silver how ever over a period of days there will be fall out but its picked back up immediately the system is turned back on.
