I do the puzzles every day at work. One of my co-workers copies them out of the paper and gives me a copy (because I still don't know where the hell in the paper they are) or faxes it to me if I'm at another location. I quite enjoy doing it in the morning as it gets the ol' gears turning. Notice the location, I'm in the US.
I cant find any of the sudoko games to download for xp, but i have been playing it at websudoko.com . But I want to download it because I have dial up.
There's some freeware suduku around on the net, they do the job! Suduku, supposingly originated from Britain during the 19th Century, but was brought back to life by the Japanese, and renamed. Dunno if it's true though.
hmm..ive never really tried it, just sorta looked at it curiously. one of my teachers does it every day-he quit the crossword for it.
I honestly don't find the appeal, or at least this strange addictiveness people have with it. Crosswords, yes I can understand because it's an ever changing test of your general knowledge and vocabulary. But this is just numbers and whilst it's obviously challenging and good for working the old grey matter, I don't understand why people are raving over it in comparison to say, logic puzzles word searches or geometry tests.
I did enjoy them for a bit, but wouldn't get a book and go through it. Haven't done them for a while now. Is there a decent XP version which allows the dot-notation*? (*- Possibly my own term - instead of writing in the possible numbers just put a dot within the square for each option. i.e. top left for one, middle for 5, bottom right for 9 etc)
