Buy lots of clears, desolder your keyboards, solder in the clears :)

I buy skidatas for clears as you get 160ish on the board, some nice caps and some nice stabs.

85 quid. It's a pain though as all the switches on the skidata are 4 pole, so you have to desolder 4 points and open every switch to remove a diode. But that means you also get a whole bunch of diodes :D

so i think i must have misplaced the feet for this metal 60% case. anyone any recommendation for what they use before i get some random 3m adhesive backed feet from ebay and see what fits?

i ask because my filco slides about a bit too and there's various other bits and pieces that could do with being mounted on something that'll increase the friction; stupid slippy ikea desk top.

Haha I will check all of my friends' fridges nowadays actually, to see if they have any sugru in there. It'll be like the benchmark of whether you are a proper resourceful sort!

Anyone interested in a Round 2 Miami Odessa Mix? ;)

Massdrop are doing Tai-Hao DS caps - various colours as well as the Olivette and Granite ANSI sets. Last day.

Also doing cheap (apparently) hardwood wrist rests. Two days left.

Those rests do look nice. My old man's set up a load of woodworking bits in his workshop over Christmas so I'm going to be making my own soon otherwise I'd be all over one.

I think George means UK ISO - there's no 3 key with the £ symbol.

The UK ISO legends are front printed on their respective ANSI keys - the 2 has " on the front, 3 has £ etc. Not a great solution IMO, but brings the cost down a fair bit I hear.

Yeah - Unfortunately, it's leaning towards ANSI, but with front printed alternative legends.

There is already a second revision that I haven't got the render back for - but has 1.5x hhkb backspace and the reverse colour of ANSI |\ - plus the Fn is in the standard mod colour as is instead replaced with another CODE key. I don't really like that, as CODE is Fn anyway (CODE was the original Fn), but I do like all the colours so I'm pretty much fine with :)

I hadn't spotted the front prints. Thanks.

Irrelevant, because I can't justify dropping that much on caps, but still interesting.

the ISO #~ really erks me. As, well, it has no reason really to have \| on the top - I even said that to the man at GMK and he still has done it that way with the front print. grrr.

I've had to bite my tongue about that so many times, the amount of US ISO users buying this set must be close to nil so why use the US ISO as the main legend and gimp the UK ISO users with a duplicate key :wallbash:.

    And breathe out...:D
