I've definitely got the mech bug now... Tempted to get another for work. Can't justify the noise of blues though, as much as it'd be sweet. Browns again methinks!

Get a Key Cool, I'm thinking of trying one out as a second board, can get them quite cheap off of Qtan and apparently the build quality is pretty darn good.

I think JaccoW has one so maybe he could give us a little feedback?

I received another one today actually :)

The build quality is fantastic, no issues there. But the bottoming out feel is loose and loud compared to my CM Storm with Ninja caps.

Not a major issue, but the CM has a softer and satisfying landing, whereas the Keycool has a hardcore bottoming landing, like a real echoey thud! It could do with O-rings, they remove the issue entirely.

I had one, but it should be arriving on Hamza's doorstep anytime soon. :D
It was a very cool board. Solid and pretty quiet, even without o-rings.
Like I said before, the only thing that is cheaper are the keycaps. The black ones are pad-printed. No big deal though, when they wear out or if you want to replace them you just get yourself a replacement set. They are standard size with the exception of the spacebar.

Right now I only have the Key Cool with clears.

EDIT: Good to hear Hamza. Has it arrived safely?
I really liked them with o-rings. But you have a little tester-set so you can experiment with them.

@EL2k: A keycool in black with cherry brown switches.

The LE edition one with the clears that came with all the goodies?

I want one of these! Both to try clears and because all the goodies that came with it ****ing rock! Do you know if I can still get one? Can Qtan source this? Or shall I use Lin?

Yep, that mini review was mine.

They can probably both set you up with it. Not sure about the goodies though. They would have to check.

Just to let you know that worked perfectly at least locally, and the issue was using remote access software such as teamviewer, RDP works fine, I was tired and got mixed up.

    Many thanks have some +rep.

So I'm sat here looking for Alu caps... and I've stumbled across some problems:

    1 - They're really hard to find
    2 - They're bloody expensive!

A FULL set is hard to find but finding esc row sized ones is pretty easy. Feng at GH is selling alum esc row keys, $11.50 for blank and $15 with a design.

    But yes, they are expensive

You going to get julysicle to go with candycorn lol? Kind of like the hardcore white... but I won't buy anymore CC caps until they start making them Cherry tall. Filco profile is suck.

That site made me look at this..

Seriously considering it seeing as it comes to £195 + customs, sell my Noppoo for around £60, it makes the HHKB seems a lot more reasonable.
