Some people like the matrix layout and find it better to type on. I just liked the Access as a programmable macro pad. I originally got it to program it up for using with Traktor, but some of the key combos were too long for it apparently and I just had to give up on it. I might get another again that is a smaller one closer to numpad size at some point if I spot one for cheap.

    Oh mah diddy gawsh

That looks fantastic! Nice setup you have there btw :)

How do the Cherry DS caps feel like to type on, compared to the stock caps on your previous Filco Ninja Browns?

    Detailed analysis please!

Nice set up! You need to set the forum to adjust to the width of the screen though!

Typing feels smooth on these keys - I really like the font. The sound when you bottom out is different also - more solid perhaps or lower pitched (? - you can tell I'm a Maths teacher and rubbish with words can't you...) Also it's cool that the F and J keys don't have the little line on them but the keys themselves are more concave than the rest.

Bonus points for the person who can tell me what's wrong with the layout of the board in the second picture (you can just make it out...)

Looks great, now you just need to replace the SP keys with real Cherry... Cherry keys have a deeper sound since they are twice as thick as stock Filco etc.
The menu and right win keys are swapped.

Why would you have to scroll horizontally? It should just adjust the forum width to the width of the browser window!

Presume he means the Moogle kit that completed your DS set.

IE the modifiers (bottom row and shift, caps, etc)

Fair enough - I can't hear too much difference but it is there definitely

On typing feel alone, could you tell us if there are any obvious differences between Filco and Cherry caps?

Presumably after using the new keyboard for a few days, then switching suddenly back to the black Ninja and seeing how it feels!

I only used those caps for a short while, but they felt more solid, a heavier, deeper bottoming out sound.

    Lovely basically.

Ahh! I'm just coming to terms with the fact that thicker caps are nicer on bottoming out :)

I never thought about that properly until now. So that's part of the attraction of Imsto PBTs I presume?
