Silver all the way. Another other colour is heresy?!

I hear you on the Dolch, they are a little steep but the problem is that often times the seller will refuse to seperate the keyboard since the main unit is then pretty much unmovable, and the shipping is expensive which adds to the cost of getting the board/ caps quite a lot. It would actually be extremely nice of me to proxy a Dolch, as I really have no interest in dealing with disposing of old Pentium PC... lol.
There have been a few on taobao recently though in standard 1800 style case, but they usually get bought up in minutes by buying agents.
Which black on white are you asking about? Or did you mean white on black?

Very nice indeed and the possibility alone is very sincerely appreciated.

Doh! That is what I meant.

I'm wanting it done to my Choc Mini so I can get some sleeved USB cables! The Poker has a removable cable at stock doesn't it?

    Sure does.

When I get the aluminium case I will have to mod the cable!

All this new stuff has me very excited! But I'm the kind of person that DOES NOT spend money! I almost cry when I make any big purchase! So all this is going to hurt!

Wouldn't a Poker case fit the Pure?

If it does, then lucky you! You'll be spoiled for choice! :thumb:

It's painful at first but you will end up with a couple of lovely boards! It's not like PC hardware, you won't lose much money on it which is a plus!

    True! :thumb:

Now then, just made a Heatware account. If any of us still buy or sell on here, would it be ok for us to leave feedback for eachother as Geekhack? I think that would be good. :)

It would but you'd be missing the screw in the center which means more PCB flex. Trebles case however has a revision for this, ie a mounting point for that center screw

    Definitely!

Regarding cables, I successfully replaced a broken one by using the end of a separate USB cable and soldering the USB wires together. I don't have the necessary equipment to solder on connectors, but that isn't much of a problem as you wouldn't need to do so to replace a hardwired USB cable. There is just a simple part to replace and that's basically it :)

So you couldn't do the mod to a Choc Mini then? Sorry to clarify, I'm too tired today!

Anyway, really enjoyed my first day on GH! Can't wait to get involved in the marketplace though!
