WASD V2 will have a new body design apparently. My guess is the tenkeyless will be more similar to the CMstorm Rapid given that they use costar as oem source.

    What's not to like?

The CMstorm Rapid is kinda meh in terms of looks(ugly logos). The front edge is sharp unlike the WASD V1 rounded front. But other than that, it looks like the WASD V1 with no number pad. Hopefully it has a attached USB cord. At first I wanted a detachable cord, but I've read too many bad story about the USB ports falling back into the keyboard shell (I'm looking at you Rosewill :blah:)

I just think that they look clunky and the finish looks a bit cheap from the website photos. Oh and they only do full keyboards at the moment, rubbish!

I'd love a Das Keyboard... don't know if I'd go for a silent or a blue switched one(if I had the case)

I've been loving the Cherry G-80 with blues at work. It's really nice to type on... but it's a cheap keyboard... quality obviously wasn't top of the list.

The blue is a loud SOAB. I have one and it took me a week to get used to. That week also bought me a new boom mike for my desk since my friends could hear the clacking of the keyboard over Skype..

If I had to get one noew, I'd get a tenkeyless with quieter keys.

So cherry browns it is! But yeah, the cherry g80 would be too loud if you didn't have sound proofing I'd imagine. Although I use it in an office and no one minds.

tenkeyless boards are really popular quite a few people are out to trade their full size for a tkl.

Is the mouse comfort and desk space that useful?

    I personally find it useful.

I mean, I don't need a numberpad, so why have one taking up room on my desk? Means I have more room to play with both my mouse and keyboard, so I can position them more how I want.

It is much better. I have TKL at work and home, at work I use a numpad on the left side of my keyboard, makes so much more sense.

I'm sold! Just trying to decide if its worth it when I can get a Filco full size for £70 but the tkl will cost £100...

That would be my worst nightmare in a keyboard. I can't stand TKL or ANSI.:(

    Deary...

After buying a CM QF blues (Filco quality, tkl, ansi) I need (want :p) a second board with browns/reds BUT I can't afford anything above about £70.

    I can get a keycool reds/browns for £60 delivered, or I can get a Filco MJ1 104 (NOT tkl) browns for £68.

Is the inferior quality of a keycool gonna make that much difference? Do I go for full size with trusted quality or tkl of questionable quality?

The other option is a Choc Mini white browns for £68 new. Is it REALLY worth it over a keycool? I'm still kind of worried about adjusting to the Noppoo mini layout - the keycool is very standard in comparison.

Also do I get reds or browns :/ this mechanical lark is giving me hell...

Go for whichever you want, the good thing about mechanicals is they hold value well, so if you end up not liking one of the boards you get, then you can always sell it on and get another.

Personal preference, I like having a number pad on the right. and I prefer having a massive enter key.:D

Ahh thanks a lot my mind is now at ease.

The last thing I want is to buy a keycool and end up hating it and wishing I had gone for a Choc Mini..
