Hows the PLU quality compare to other boards?

    Price is good on those

Don't worry, I will get pics later, friend is currently borrowing it, and quality wise it feels good, only downside for me are the cherry stabilisers :(

So guys - it's time for a new keyboard for me.

I currently have a Das Keyboard Ultimate with blues and though I love it, it's too big!

What I am looking for is a TKL keyboard with reds or browns and preferably in white. I have looked at the PLU-87 from eBay, but I was wondering how many alternatives I have?

I don't mind spending around 100£'s but I'm not gonna jump ship and throw my life savings after a mint Model M with gold keycaps and inlaid diamonds.

In white TKL? Leopold, Keycool. PLU don't have over 2KRO so I wouldn't recommend it. Filco, but it's a bit more, and harder to find in stock. For mini board Choc and there is limited edition all white Race and maybe the Pure due out end of next month.
There is also a new board coming out, though white is not 100% confirmed. Same oem as Choc, but its a board about same size as tkl, but with numpad, dropping the nav cluster instead. I'm looking forward to that one. Similar layout to the old Apple boards like the m0110A.

I saw some Keycool boards on the 'bay, but the sellers adverts looked.. "Chinesy" so I thought they might be crap. I definitely need more than 2KRO so the PLU is out. Is the brand names simply "Race" and "Pure"? And where would I go about finding them?

Race and Pure are models, both are KBT / Vortex brand. Race is out now like backlight Choc, Pure sometime soon which is similar to the KBC Poker also with backlight option. Keycool are good boards, yes they are Chinese, but same OEM as Leopold so they are made well.
Also you might like Groove87, same as the CMStorm Rapid without all the ugly branding. Not white, but gunmetal is nice looking too.

longweight, does your noppoo have any rattle on the space bar?

You could just look for a 2nd hand Filco, leopold make some decent boards, I would suggest the Race, but you'll be lucky to actually get one :p

Thinking about it, and reading reviews online I might be better of with blacks. People tend to say that I type very heavy handed so some heavy keys might help me type better.

I have noticed TKL keyboards with backlighting, and now I might be getting into specifics, but there would a lot of e-cookies for any person who can come up with a board that has these specifications:

    TKL
    Black switches
Backlighting which can be toggled on/off with a button
    Cost: <110£
Overal color: White (though if you can find a black one that matches my specifications I could just buy some white keycaps)

Funnily enough a TG3 springs to mind..

    Its black though

Meets the rest of your requirements, and its $50 new in the US, you could find a proxy buyer.

Not worth it after shipping though I don't think

    edit: I meant TG3 not 83 :)

Not out yet, wait until next month for Ducky Dragon, then buy the moment it's available as it is limited edition. I almost forgot all about that board! Pricing might be a little over though, and I am not sure about backlight color yet.

There are some leaked photos around. White TKL with backlight. First Ducky TKL that supposed to have the updates from the 9000 series. Should be a pretty good board it it's all true.

Is that the one with the backlighting which activates when you press the key? Saw a video of that on their facebook, I love that idea, me and a friend were talking about how to mod a board to do it over the easter holidays, now all it needs is a slight fade on each one.... :D

    And Picarro:

Limited edition white Race, shipped by the end of May apparently, I'm very tempted myself, although I'll need to sell some stuff to be able to afford it sadly.
