I have an MK-50 and it's a good board, but...
Agreed - I'd go for a 2nd hand board really. As long as it's been looked after it'll still feel new, and you get access to better boards than the CM/Qpad range.

As I'm using the SteelSeries 6Gv2 for a few month now I can definately advertise for this product. It's good for typing, which I do most of the time, and it's also good for playing some games - Borderlands 2 most recently in my case - where the 6KRO over USB works like a charm.

    It's totally worth it's money I'd say.

Doesn't the MK-50 have NKRO over USB, like the 85 then?

After a slightly busy period I am back looking at keyboards/caps again.

I wanted some white (engraved so my GF can use it, and I can see those letter used symbols) key caps for my Filco TKL, so need 88 keys ISO. Now my only option for this is WASD keyboards...

I know buying OEM profile ABS key caps is like drop kicking a baby in the face in terms of being all wrong. But I don't really have many other options for what I want. Being that I have only had experience with the standard Filco keys, will I perceive them to be rubbish, or just white? :p

I will eventually get some nice thick PBT keycaps or something, but I think I will wait till my keyboard which will probably be ANSI.

So basically for about £45 (calculated here) is it worth getting the 88 key ISO set from WASD keyboards considering I will probably be waiting a lifetime for an 88 key ISO set from anywhere else.

Nope. The MK-50 only has NKRO over PS/2. Should be enough for most people tho.

Does anyone one have any packs of O-rings? Would like to try them on my Filco. I'm happy to order them from WASD but it'll be while before they turn up. Also, a key-puller would be useful.

My clan is getting fed up with ClickityClickClickClickClickClickClackClickClick... over the mic :p

Matticus, Ducky makes PBT engraved now in ISO layouts. I have seen GB on the G2Pro but I have no idea what shop they might have gotten it from. Who sells Ducky products there? Might be worth looking for before settle for wasd.

Just bought a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with Reds (the unbranded version), from Shirty http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=254360and and am most happy with my purchase. A question I have, which he cannot answer as he never used the media keys, is the little user manual that came with the keyboard mentions the 'Storm' key which you need to press along with the relevant media key.

Is the 'Storm' key the 'Windows' key?

The "Storm" key is just a Fn key, mate - Shirty did say that board was devoid of the usual CM Storm branding - I think it normally has a little swirly design on it. Try looking to the right of the spacebar (iirc).

Cheers Dave as you can see by this image http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/product.php?product_id=6817 it is in the 'Windows' key position, hence my question. I do not have a 'swirly' key.

Of course the simplest thing to do would be to plug it in to a PC that has speakers attached.DOH.

Ignore me,yet another senior moment, which are happening more and more frequently these days.

There is a perfectly visible FN key to the right of the Windows,Right hand side of the keyboard.

The Fn key is just that I would think - the Storm keys are just win keys looking at their pics and placement, and having a Fn as well would be stupid...

Yeah, I had it wrong and assumed that the Storm logo was on the FN key.

I was the guy that Shirty originally got this off. I can confirm that the media keys are used with Fn :)

Thanks guys, without changing the keyboard language to English (UK) can you please tell me how to type a pound sign? I have Googled but all I can find is alt and numbers on a number pad.

Sorry for the noob questions and I am sure I have asked this before but I cannot find the answer here.
