Why not just buy a 15EUR G80-1800 from ebay.de? That way you get something that is fairly pleasant to type on. You don't really have to spend much and not have to worry about leaving it there either.

 

KidMod, my friend has decided he needs arrow keys accessible without the use of the fn + space lock and he uses home, and end quite a lot so he is going to go for a TKL. Being a programmer as well I can see why he uses those keys a lot, it is the same reason I have been exclusively using my Poker all weekend to see how well I get on with it as a development board.

I might end up taking my Filco to work as it is easily to develop on. But to be honest I don't really want to take my Filco to work, haha.

Are you going to be selling a bunch of keycaps soon?

Edit: I am thinking of selling my Filco. This may be a controversial view but I think I prefer Cherry stabilisers or at least the black switches on my Poker. My Poker is infinitely quieter and my typing is pretty much the same speed but more importantly feels more consistent. I won't just have the Poker though, I was thinking of getting a Ducky or something... just not sure yet.

Just as an inquiry, what's the going rate on a Ducky Shine 2 with ANSI layout? Not sure I need two boards with MX browns and I'm looking to either sell or trade.

 

Assuming it is in excellent condition, - 20% current retail is a good rule for most anything you can get that is still in production or common and easily available.

I am, I'm just not sure I could afford it for a few months as I've just bought a house. What would you be looking at for it?

 

It cost me 90 quid back in August. I'd now be looking at about 65 quid I think.

Can anyone think of a reason not to repaint existing keycaps as mionix just gave me a replacement set after the wasd keys started to wear through(common problem in the early models apparently) and thinking i should just sand down and paint the old ones let my creative juices flow already got an awesome idea but i'd like to know if there is a best kind of paint for them ect

 

Anyone else want anything from techkeys.us? We're close to free shipping and so it'd only cost you postage on to you this end (plus the cost of the keys that is!)

I sold the one with blacks at GB price so I'm doing the same with this. I can't be bothered selling over at GH and I just need it gone.

Has anyone got any spare switches for me to have a play with?

I want to see what Blue and Red are like in terms of force required and sound, I already have Brown and Black boards, but one or both of those as a separate switch would be good for a direct comparison, especially since the Browns are plate mounted and Black PCB so and out of the board test would be handy.

I was going to buy some from Qwerkeys but they don't have any red switches.

 

Guys, have you seen some keyboard covers? Like those soft plastic transparent covers back in 90's?
Do you use any covers for your mechs?
