I did take a look at the Ducky Shine 2 that was reviewed by bit-tech and quite liked it, but unfortunately it is out of my price range at £150, so a used one may be a good idea. Not sure where the best place to get one would be? Also not sure how much it would cost used?

 

Well the general rule of thumb for buying second hand items in top condition is that you take about 20% off the new price. So for a Shine II you are looking at about £120.

I have a Shine II with blue backlight, ISO layout and browns in "as new" condition that I might be willing to part with. Where are you based? You'd be welcome to come and have a play (with my keyboard ).

BUT

The Shine I is basically the same keyboard without the backlight memory and with fewer backlighting options, which can be had new for around the same (or slightly less) money. It's up to you to decide whether it's piss you off having to reset the backlight every time you boot he PC or not. If yes then the additional outlay is worth it, if no then you can save some funds and get the original.

 

What would you want? I'll have a look at what I've got lying around later

Well El2k, I do have one 1800 for sale for $75, but I am not sure if it is worth it to you to buy it from me as international shipping from the US is stupid high now. Looking at about $45 for shipping alone, so the total would be $120. I'm pretty sure you would be better off if you could find one in Europe already, or from Asia even.

CC knows how much people want his caps.

Keeps the prices low knowing full well how much they sell for second hand.

People regard them as being made for the community but they are discussed so frequently and it causes such a commotion that surely it is obvious that CC is not helping the community.
