Got my new green Topre caps in the mail a minute ago, need to have a play around with what layout I want..... Decisions.

I was thinking:
Green mods and spare bar
Green alpha keys and black mods
Green WASD and green FN and arrow keys
LoL action Keyes, I.e. qwerasdf

 

Currently having the same colour spacebar as mods I'm not a fan - the different colour breaks up the bottom row nicely. I'd go for green mods only with grey (your hhkb is grey right) alpha & spacebar with a nice custom cable of course!

 

I've done something in a similar vein. I will see if I can get some pics up now. Still no pc so I'm working off my phone and sisters iPad lol

Looks pretty good, I am happy with it. More playing tomorrow with the layouts

 

I love that shade of green on Topre keys, wish I could get the MX PBT factory to make them but the 10,000 set MOQ is absurd.

Spray painting done, switches stickered - now just need to resolder everything!

 

Would Imsto ever be able to do custom colour PBT? I'd love a set like that!

Yes it is possible to get color keys, but then the MOQ is highly improbable. 300 sets is challenging enough, 10,000 sets is ludicrous. I will be start the Cherry white/beige keysets dyesubs really soon though. Have some new legend colorways and layouts that will be offer. First time will have ISO, but minus the enter, best can be done right now. Will see if can make fundraising to get the money to create PBT ISO enter mold so can have it in the future.

Still not 100% sold on the ergo clears, think I might have a play around with different stems/springs in my other poker and see if I find a combo I love.
Not had the balls to muck about with them before but switching stems/springs seems easy enough, but is there an easy way to get the stems etc out of a loose switch? Seems quite difficult compared to one on a pcb.

Also, is there anywhere I could buy just springs/stems rather than whole switches? (thinking green, white, grey etc)

 

Easiest way to get loose stem and springs, is to post classified. There is usually someone with them.
Open loose switch is easy, just take small jeweler flat screwdriver and insert under latch to release, pull on upper switch housing x4. If you have a bit of fingernail is is a LOT easier.
I had to do this on a whole bunch of switch to remove the jumper wire from inside before and got really fast at it.
