Peripherals Mechanical Keyboards

I've been trying to find a supplier for PCB mount clears but it is proving to be a futile attempt. As such I'm possibly going to have to get on 7bits group buy. Anyone else in it? What are the expected ship times for pre-orders?

 

I'm not, I wouldn't get involved with a 7bit GB.

I don't doubt him as a reputable seller but they just go on for so long!

 

I've bought switches from 7bit previously and they were fairly quick but were in stock - those are not due until at least September or October as far as I know... I'd wait til they were in stock personally...

Just caved and ordered 70 MXCLEARP/NW. Should mean one of my GH60 PCB's gets switches. Now to find a reasonably priced case....

 

Ergodox is an interesting proposition. Just so damn expensive...

Here's a random question: I can't get into BIOS with my new keyboard because it doesn't initialize until after POST, so is there any way I can make the PC recognise the keyboard faster? Don't see any options in BIOS...

 

That is called boot mode support and some keyboards don't have it Though I can't find anywhere that calls it that so maybe it's not called that. I know that you can't get into bios with HPE 87 as well.

 

Oh well that sucks - I''ll need to have a separate overclocking keyboard.
