    Do it...

Seriously, the little play around I've had with mine (no switches - grrrrr) I reckon it'll be pretty damn comfortable.

Go for a variable style layout. Its what I plan for one of my GH60's.

Ouch, £4/each puts it outside sensible cost unfortunately. Let me ruminate on it this weekend - I think keeping a blues numpad with brown standard keys might be quite nice, a bit of variety at least!

As far as wireless goes, I was considering trying a hack on my QPAD for home... It doesn't matter as much for work, but at home it'd be nice to move the board around if you want more desk space, and cable clutter is definitely bad, mmmkay?

^ That's £4 for 5 switches but still ridiculously expensive... Like Ivan said, best bet would be to get a donor board on the cheap...

    My HPE 87 arrived today.

I have to say first impressions are very good. It seems very solidly built, nice and heavy and no hint of any twisting or flex. It is a bit more square looking than my Leopold, not far from Filco in terms of shape. I will have a proper type on it when I get home and see how it really feels.

The logo is a bit annoying as it is a thick peice of plastic with the logo machined out which is in an inset section. If I can get it out and be left with a little square inset section I will be happy, if there are any holes/notches I will fill it and spray the whole case cyan or something crazy :D That being said, the logo itself isn't offensively ugly, but I would just rather it not be there.

The stock caps seem to be acceptable quality, they aren't too thin and don't appear to have any obvious sprue marks . The extra included keys are a nice touch, if a little strange in colour choice (pink arrows, lavender WASD, red esc).

The extra included stabiliser mounts and clips is really nice as is the key puller.

It is likely my Leopold is for sale as I would rather have a few more key cap sets than extra keyboards :)

I think variable on cherry would be manky, unless all the switches were linear.

I think it is the same 10 people constantly refreshing :hehe:

By the way, does your user title reference the web comic or the Joey Cape album?
